Kathleen Mellor Kindergarten

Welcome to Kathleen Mellor Kindergarten

 Kathleen Mellor Kindergarten logo

Kathleen Mellor Kindergarten is situated in the historic original village of Tea Tree Gully, and was opened in 1965.

We are named after Kathleen Mellor who was a pioneer in Early Childhood Education, both in South Australia and overseas. She received an MBE in 1970 for her contribution to Early Childhood Education.

We are located adjacent to the Memorial Oval, and enjoy a park like setting, with natural gum trees a shady feature of the outdoor area.

Tea Tree Gully Primary School is within walking distance across the oval and we enjoy visiting regularly to use their excellent computer and library facilities.

We have spacious and well resourced play areas and a qualified and experienced staff team. We use the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia "Belonging, Being and Becoming" to plan and deliver our play based curriculum.

We have a proud history of providing quality Early Childhood education and care, and this continues today.

We invite you to contact us to visit, or to find out more about our centre or Kathleen Mellor.
